Instant Approval Credit Cards - Are They Worth It?

By: Robert Alan

What could be better than getting a credit card, in a hurry, and with a good amount of credit on it? Many credit card companies make such offers, and this article will show you what to look for when you shop for instant approval credit cards.

It used to be that you would fill out an application, put it in the mail, and then you might wait up to a month to get a response from a credit card company. Imagine, in the computer age, waiting up to a month before word gets back to you as to whether or not you have been accepted! Now, though, it has changed, you can get an instant approval credit card online - in just a few seconds. But are instant approval credit cards worth it?

Are Online Applications Secure?

Many wonder if the Internet is secure — that is, will their ID be stolen if they type in some of their personal information. The honest answer is that it is possible — just like it is more probable that a letter could also be opened and your data stolen from that. The Internet, though, has some very secure Web sites - especially official sites of the credit card companies.

How Long Will It Take?

The Internet allows for information to be submitted in an instant — as you know. Once received, your application will go through a process of being checked against your credit rating. The credit card issuing company will have their own preferred source, and from this they will either approve or disapprove of your instant approval credit card application — and get the results back to you — all within mere minutes. In some instances, the company will need to take a further look at your credit history in order to make a fuller determination.

If approved, there will be a little waiting period before you can actually use the card. Obviously, it will have to be mailed to you. That can take up to about 10 days.

What Should You Look For In A Card?

There are four basic things you need to consider in a card, before you fill out the application.

· The APR

This is the interest rate of the credit card. It usually is stated in two different ways, since it refers to two different rates. The first is the introductory rate - you want to look for a card that has 0% for this, and you want it to be for a year. After that, the card will go to a regular APR. You need to compare cards, and try to get the lowest APR possible.

· The Annual Fee

The best is to get a no annual fee card. Some instant approval credit cards have no annual fee, but only for the first year.

· The Benefits

The benefits that you need to look for should be geared to your particular situation. If you travel a lot, and fly, then you will want a card that gives you air miles. Other cards will give you cash back, or rebates of between 1 to 5%, particularly on purchases of groceries, medicines and gas (these are among the highest rewards). The rates that determine your benefits will vary, though, depending on the type of purchase, and the type of card. Some of your better cards, which require an excellent credit rating, may even give you 10 or 20,000 air miles just for signing up and making your first purchase!

· Balance Transfers

If you have more than one credit card, and you want to consolidate it all to a 0% APR to save some money, then be sure that it has this feature - not all cards will permit this. This could work great for you if you will seek to pay it all off within one year.

If you have other credit cards and feel you are paying too high of a rate of interest, then getting your instant approval credit cards online may be what you need to get a better rate. After all, it will only take a few minutes, and you could be on your way.

Getting Indexed In Hours

The Secret To Getting Indexed In Hours By All The Major Search Engines

By: Gregg Hall

For all of us who make a living from internet marketing, driving traffic to our sites is one of the most important activities we do on a daily basis.

There are some definite steps that can be taken to speed up the process of getting indexed as well as proper domain name registration. I am going to give a quick outline here on how to go about this step by step using the latest tactics to your site indexed in hours instead of weeks.

The first thing that you have to do is be sure that you have a viable domain name; by viable I mean one that will make you money. It’s cool to have your own name as a domain and I recommend that everyone do it, but that isn’t generally going to make you money unless your name happens to be Bill Gates or Warren Buffet.

It is absolutely crucial to choose domain names that contain the keywords you want to rank well for. It blows by mind how people will use abbreviations and such and expect to get good rankings easily. If you are doing a site on articles, the keyword articles should be in it like 500articles.com. This research is crucial, to see the tools I recommend seeing my resource box at the bottom of the article.

Secondly, when you build your site regardless of whether it is a static site or a blog your title needs to have your main key words in it. So be sure that your site does not say, “Welcome to Homer’s website” or whatever, get my drift?

If you are doing a website on karaoke for example, your title should have words like karaoke, karaoke music, karaoke songs, etc. Only put in the top four words that you want to rank for. This is a mistake I see made daily. Either there is no relevant title at all or the title is stuffed with so many keywords that it is watered down and will never rank well. For the exact way that your title should read, contact me or see more at the link below.

In order to be indexed quickly you have to let the internet world know that your site exists and you need to do it in a rapid fashion. Once you have your site or blog up and have content of some kind on it you need to be getting attention to it.

I am going to let you in on a secret here that many people are not taking advantage of and I have tested it with no other method of promoting so I know it works. If you haven’t heard of tag and ping then you need to listen up. Tagging certain keywords is one of the fastest ways that you can get your site listed. If you aren’t doing this you are wasting precious time.

I will give you an example without giving away the name of my site. I just put up a Wordpress blog on July 7th in a fairly high traffic niche. I wanted to test the method I am speaking of so I did no article marketing like I normally do, and didn’t even put any regular content on it. I used an automated blog posting tool and set it up to post “quality” RSS feeds on my topic.

Now, pay attention because it is what I did next that is crucial. I put technorati tags in the tool for keywords I wanted linking to my site. I set for the initial posting of four times a day, it was indexed by Yahoo and the Google blog search engine within two hours and in Google’s main index the next day!

Now that I know for a fact that this works I will begin my normal method for driving traffic which is writing articles and submitting them to all the major article directories. I highly recommend Article Marketer for this. It is not expensive and it makes it simple for you to submit your articles to thousands of ezine and article directory owners.

This is not a difficult thing to accomplish and if you are serious about your internet marketing business there are certain tools that I think you cannot be without. Some of them are brand new and have just come out that have made my life a lot easier and have saved me a ton of time allowing me to build more sites and write more articles. I am willing to share the names of those resources with you, so take advantage of it.

Garden Party

July 17, 2006

Here’s a great article from a gal who knows her way around an organic garden. If fact, one of her other articles I read have me thinking about going out and getting a bale of hay. You can find that one on Article-Worx.com along with others.

Build Your Own Rain Garden

By: Jodi Reichenberger

There’s a new garden in town. It is (mostly) easy to install, looks good year-round, requires almost no maintenance and has a terrifically upbeat impact on the environment. No wonder rain gardens are such a great new gardening trend!

Storm water runoff can be a big problem in summer during heavy thunderstorms. As the water rushes across roofs and driveways, it picks up oil and other pollutants. Municipal storm water treatment plants often can’t handle the deluge of water, and in many locations the untreated water ends up in natural waterways. The EPA estimates as much as 70 percent of the pollution in our streams, rivers, and lakes is carried there by storm water! By taking responsibility for the rainwater that falls on your own roof and driveway, you’ll be helping to protect our rivers, streams and lakes from stormwater pollution.

To reduce the excess water runoff, many towns are encouraging businesses and homeowners to install rain gardens in their yards. Rain gardens are specially constructed gardens located in low areas of a yard where storm water can collect. The idea is to have the water naturally funnel to this garden. The rain garden collects water runoff and stores and filters it until it can be slowly absorbed by the soil. Rather than rushing off into a storm sewer or a local waterway, the rainwater can collect in a garden where it will be naturally filtered by plants and soil.

Installing a rain garden is easy.
You simply dig a shallow depression in your yard and plant it with native
grasses and wildflowers; things that are easy to grow and maintain in your area.

What makes a garden a rain garden? First, the garden will be designed with a low spot in the middle to collect and absorb rain water and snow melt. This depression can range from a few inches in a small garden, to an excavated trough that’s several feet deep. Second, rain gardens are usually located where they’ll catch the runoff from impermeable surfaces like sidewalks and driveways, or from gutters and roof valleys. Third, rain gardens are usually planted with native wildflowers and grasses that will thrive in tough growing conditions. Finally, rain gardens are designed to channel heavy rains to another rain garden or to another part of the garden.

Your rain garden should be located at least 10 feet from the house. The garden’s size and location depends on the yard. The ideal situation would be to locate the garden in a natural depression. You also can funnel water from downspouts on gutters into the garden. The soil should be well drained so the water doesn’t sit in the garden for more than two days. A special “rain garden” soil mix of 50 to 60 percent sand, 20 to 30 percent topsoil, and 20 to 30 percent compost is recommended. You can dig this mixture into the soil to depth of 2 feet before planting.

Once you’ve identified the new garden’s location, remove the sod and dig a shallow depression approximately 6-inches deep. Slope the sides gradually from the outside edge to the deepest area. Use the soil that you remove to build up a slightly raised area on the lowest side of the garden. This berm will help contain the stormwater and allow it to percolate slowly through the rain garden.

If your rain garden is no more than about 6-inches deep, stormwater will usually be absorbed within a one- to seven-day period. Because mosquitoes require seven to 10 days to lay and hatch their eggs, this will help you avoid mosquito problems.

Your downspout or sump pump outlet should be directed toward your rain garden depression. This can be accomplished by a natural slope, by digging a shallow swale, or by piping the runoff directly to the garden through a buried 4″ diameter plastic drain tile.

Plant Selection.. The final touch.
The most difficult part of building a rain garden (if it can even be called that)can be plant selection. Plants need to be tough enough to withstand periodic flooding, yet attractive enough to look good in the garden. Deep-rooted, low-care native plants, such as asters, and tough non-natives, such as daylilies, are best. If properly designed, the rain garden can consist of a blend of attractive shrubs, perennials, trees, and ground covers. Planting strips of grass around the garden and using mulch also can help filter the water.

New plants should be watered every other day for the first two weeks or so. Once they are well established, your garden should thrive without additional watering. Fertilizers will not be necessary, and only minimal weeding will be needed after the first summer of growth.

Friday was a big day for Article-Worx.com

After only 3 months of being online Article-Worx.com received a google page rank of 3. Let me say that again, a pr 3 in only 3 months. I couldn’t be happier. Well, stay tuned. We’re just getting started.

I’d like to give special thanks to the folks over at ArticleDashboard Forum. That would be Jodi, Angela, Mike, Broomy, Jan, Ric, Bushie and all the forum members who helped me with the Article-Worx.com site. I’m not a tech and all these people made me feel right at home. Have you ever wondered how to start your own article directory?

July 09, 2006

This one is very interesting to me, because I wrote it. ;) . If I can start an article directory, I’m sure most of you can too. I couldn’t have done it without help and that same help is available to you too. Please, read on and enjoy.

How I Started My Article Directory

By: Michael Younger

What held me back for so long? Well, if the truth be told I’m really not much of a tech and putting together a database, the mysql, email responders, finding the authors to submit articles to my article directory and that’s just a small part of what’s needed. I would need to approve articles for publication on my article directory site, after I find them. Don’t forget the web hosting, web design, all the search engine friendly stuff. Monitize the article directory with any products I may have and become an affiliate of other products that may be of interest to the crowd I am drawing to my article directory.

Traffic? If I don’t find a way to drive traffic then it’s all for nothing. It won’t matter how great an article directory site I have and it won’t matter that I have fantastic offers at unheard of prices, because those unheard of prices will still be unheard of. So, I hear I need to have my article directory listed with the search engines. I need to have plenty of back links from other sites that point back to my article directory, writing articles like this one and publishing it to other article directories is one great way to do this. It especially helps when an article directory has a high Google page rank. Then there are the reciprocal back links, where I find sites that are willing to put my link on their site and I put their link on my article directory, again, if they have a high page rank it really helps.

Oh yeah, they also tell me that the article directory article needs a keyword density of 3% - 5%. That means I need the keyword Article Directory in this article one more time, there it is.

Anyway, It all boiled down to this.

1-It’s a lot of work.
2-I need a great article directory program.
3-I needed help.
4-I needed some good instructions.
5-I needed to ask questions and get answers.
6-I needed to see and at least half way understand what others have done before me.

The first article directory program I used, I spent some time with and was struggling. Then my wife asked how I was doing and I said not well, that’s when she told me she got an email from an Internet marketer that offered a free article directory program called Article Dashboard. I downloaded it and to my surprise, everything I needed was there and then some.

FIRST let me tell you that the Article Dashboard article directory program itself is a 12 on a scale of 1-10.

SECOND there’s a Article Dashboard Forum. The people in there are the best and the moderators are even better, very friendly and very knowledgeable.

THIRD there’s even a Article Dashboard University that will take you through many courses on many article directory subjects.

What more could I ask for. I checked out the University and then went to the forum with a couple questions. I got a quick response and struggled a little and a very kind moderator lady helped me with my problem and I was up and running in no time. I’m still customizing, monitizing and starting to drive traffic to my article directory. There’s no way I could have done this with out the Article Dashboard program, university, forum and especially the people.

If you ever thought about starting an Article Directory, I highly recommend Article Dashboard. You can find a free download of it on my site. Tell a friend.

Affiliate Marketing: Knowledge is Key

By: Pj Germain

To participate in an affiliate marketing program, you have to pay attention to particulars. Both the sponsor and the affiliate must work together to create a successful & harmonious program.

When you are considering joining an affiliate program, you should weight the pros and cons. Product selection is an important part of the process. Many people think about the possible returns, or the amount of commission they can earn. That’s an important factor, but it’s not the most important. You can’t earn commission on an item that no one wants. So when choosing an affiliate program, opt for products that are likely to sell well.

To aid in affiliate program product selection, you may want to use Alexa.com. Performing a search with Alexa’s traffic rankings will tell you a lot about a merchant. You will get an overview of the website, its ranking in the search engines, and more detailed information on its visitors.

Alexa also provides a ranking of the top 500 websites grouped by location. This will help you analyze the traffic and popularity of the top 500 websites. If any of them offer affiliate marketing programs, you may want to sign with them if possible. If you search a website’s ranking, and the page isn’t in the top 500 or isn’t ranked at all, you should know you may make very little to no money in their affiliate marketing program.

If you’re considering starting a program, it would be a wise choice to learn all you can about affiliate marketing. Which form of commission will you offer? Will you handle the administrative duties yourself, or use free software tools? There’s more to learn than you think. Acquire all the knowledge you can before actually starting your program. It would be a mistake to start the program, pay for advertising, banners, and other promotional materials, and then start to learn about affiliate marketing.

Find forums and websites dedicated to affiliate marketing. Ask questions, and read everything you can on the subject. Most importantly, before you even consider starting your program, make sure you have a product or service that affiliates will promote. If your product is useless, you’ll have a hard time finding affiliates.

Once you feel comfortable enough to proceed, go ahead and take your first steps. Starting your own affiliate marketing program can be daunting, but you’ll get the hang of it. The rewards can far outweigh the risks.

Writing Traffic-Sucking Articles in less than an Hour

By: Chris Carpenter

If you’ve created a mini-site on a certain topic then you want to get traffic to that site. One powerful way to go about it is to write short articles related to the subject of that site. Writing articles not only drives traffic, but its completely free. Articles are a way to get unlimited traffic your mini-site. You can submit your article to e-zine publishers and directories which will expose you to tens of thousands of readers. Out of those thousands, some will click on the link in your article to visit your site and purchase your product.

Articles also work to build trust and credibility. Readers who do click to your site are pre-sold because they see you as an expert. Writing articles helps you build your reputation and credibility with your target market. Even if a reader doesn’t click on your link, they are associating your name with that topic. As you become an expert in that field, joint venture partners will contact you and you will expand the exposure you receive.

There is an easy formula for writing articles to drive traffic to your site. First, target your audience and get to know who you are writing for. Understand their needs and wants, and cover their hot button issues in your articles. Use attention grabbing headlines to get your customers into reading your article. To create a good headline, highlight a big benefit of reading the article. What will your reader get out of reading this particular article? For example, “Here’s How to Avoid Probate—Pass on Your Estate Quickly to Your Heirs—And Keep the Government from Taking 70% of your Estate When you Die!” is a better headline than “All About Probate.” Substitute your topic in anyone of the following headline formulas:

—The truth about…
—(number) ways to…
—The Complete Guide To…
—How to ________ and ________
—What your _______ isn’t telling you about…
—How your Can _____ in ____ days
—Who else wants to…
—Get rid of _____ forever
—Here’s the quickest, cheapest way to get rid of ______ once and for all
—Get rid of ____ in ____ or less…guaranteed
—New ______ cures…or your money back

After writing your eye-catching headline, briefly introduce the subject or problem and state your position about it. Then outline the main points that you want to cover. Depending on the subject, you should have three to seven main points. Any more than seven is going to be too complicated and lengthy for an article. Write the rest of the article elaborating on each point and then state your conclusion. In your conclusion, tell your reader why this article is important and how they should take action on the issue.

The most critical part of article writing is laying out a resource box. The resource box or signature file is the contact information that you provide after the article. Here is where you add your website link and other contact information for your reader to use to find out more about the topic or take action on it. Most article writers have pretty boring resource boxes, but you can make yours sparkle and increase your odds of the reader clicking on your link. Treat the resource box like a powerful classified ad. It has to make the reader do as you ask because, after all, isn’t that why you wrote the article to begin with? Also, be conversational in the box. Don’t talk down to your readers like a professor. Feel free to use slang terms and street language to make yourself approachable. Most importantly, make sure there is a benefit involved when the reader takes action by going to your site. For example, include a phrase like “Learn how to lose 25 pounds in 25 days or less at www.—- “

Your resource box is much more important than the actual article that you are submitting. A great resource box may result in a reader receiving an auto responder series that eventually sells him valuable information. Both you and your readers benefit from the auto responder.

When writing your article, keep in mind that 500 words is plenty. There’s no need to write “War and Peace.” You just want to pass along enough vital info to make the reader want to click on your link to your mini-site to find out more.

Article writing may seem intimidating at first, but the process is easy. Writing a good article and resource box is one of the best ways to get traffic to your website and, therefore, increase your profits. Now get writing!
