As we're all used, EA releases great titles time and again. It remains to be seen if the next episode of the Need for Speed series will be one of EA's crown jewels, but I, for one, have great expectations. Although fans of the series didn't seem to go wild after NFS Carbon, as far as I know the community was still barely waiting for the sequel. And now it's here so let's take a look at what the producers have to say about it: "This is a game about building the ultimate performance-tuned battle machine, taking it to multi-disciplinary showdowns all over the world and pitting your skills and reputation against the very best street racers." What they want to say by that is they're going to implement a more realistic control scheme (versus the arcade-style driving in some of the previous installments of the series) and that they're going to try and maximize the "street racing" feeling. Good news is that the game will be available for the following platforms: PC, Xbox 360, PSP, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Wii and Nintendo DS. In a way this is good, as it will be reachable by more people, on the other hand I don't want to play a game made only to be easily ported from console to PC. On the other hand some of the features announced are really interesting, features such as Autosculpt that will enable car damage, dents and bumps and all of them will be saved so that after a few fierce races your car will look really menacing.
